Team Lead
About This Role
SparkTex Cleaners is looking for an experienced, motivated Team Lead to manage a crew of three to five cleaning technicians on daily routes across the Conroe and North Houston area. This is the first step in our leadership track and represents a significant opportunity for someone who has proven their cleaning skills and is ready to develop their management abilities.
As a Team Lead you are responsible for the performance, quality, and morale of your crew. Each morning you review the day's route assignments, brief your team on job-specific requirements, and ensure everyone has the supplies and equipment they need. Throughout the day you perform quality inspections at completed job sites, address any client concerns in real time, and provide on-the-spot coaching to help your technicians improve.
Communication is central to this role. You serve as the primary point of contact between your crew and the Operations Manager, relaying scheduling changes, reporting equipment issues, and escalating client feedback as needed. You will also participate in weekly leadership meetings where route efficiency, client satisfaction scores, and team development are reviewed and planned.
SparkTex promotes from within whenever possible, and the Team Lead role is our most common pathway to Operations Manager. We invest in your leadership development through management training, conflict resolution workshops, and one-on-one mentoring from senior leadership. Your success is measured not just by the cleanliness of the spaces you oversee, but by the growth and retention of the technicians you lead.
This role offers a significant pay premium over technician rates, priority on route and schedule selection, performance bonuses tied to team metrics, and the professional development that prepares you for the next step in your career. If you are ready to lead, we are ready to invest in you.
